Leann (Pitman) Manuel
Rehabilitation Assistant
RA, HSW
As a Rehabilitation Assistant, as well as a Hippotherapist (Equine Therapist) and riding instructor, Leann has been able to blend her lifelong love for horsemanship with her desire to help others. Growing up on her family farm in Port Alberni, Leann’s passion for horsemanship grew with her from childhood. By age 16, Leann had qualified to participate in the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Youth World Championship Horse Show. After graduating from high school, Leann left her family farm and beloved horses behind and moved to Vancouver Island to study psychology and social work at the University of Victoria. However, it did not take long for Leann to realize that horses had been far more than just a childhood passion for her. She realized that many of her successes in life were related to her greatly revered equestrian pursuits.
