About our content
How we write, review and update the health information on this website.
Last updated
The articles, guides and service pages on this website are written to help clients, families, referrers and employers understand rehabilitation in British Columbia and Alberta. This page explains who writes that information, how we check it and how we keep it current.
Content is written by Creative Therapy Consultants clinicians and staff who work in the area they are writing about: occupational therapists, kinesiologists, registered clinical counsellors and vocational rehabilitation consultants. Articles show the author's name and the date they were published. Clinician profiles on our team page list their profession and experience.
Health information is reviewed by a regulated clinician in the relevant profession before it is published. Where we describe a program, funding rule or benefit from WorkSafeBC, ICBC, Veterans Affairs Canada or another funder, we check it against that organization's own published information and link to it where we can.
We do not publish statistics without a source, and we do not use client stories without consent. Case studies on our service pages are de-identified. Where a scenario is a composite example rather than a real client, it is labelled that way.
Funding rules, programs and best practice change. We review articles regularly and update or retire information that is out of date. When a program has closed or a rule has changed, we say so in the article.
We do not accept payment or advertising for content on this site. Where we mention our own services, we say so plainly.
