Community rehabilitation in Castlegar and the West Kootenay, from our office on Columbia Avenue.

Our Kootenay occupational therapists cover Castlegar, Trail, Nelson and the Boundary. We see clients at home, in the community, at work and online.

Our Columbia Avenue office is central to the West Kootenay, about half an hour from Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail. We drive Highway 3B to Trail, Rossland and Fruitvale, Highway 3 to Salmo, Grand Forks and Christina Lake, and Highway 3A to Nelson. Big local employers include the Trail smelter and the Celgar pulp mill in Castlegar, alongside forestry, health care and Selkirk College.

Clients are referred by WorkSafeBC, ICBC, Veterans Affairs Canada, long-term disability insurers, employers and lawyers. The goal is function and independence at home, in the community and, where possible, at work.

To arrange community rehabilitation in Castlegar, the client's case manager, adjuster, disability insurer, employer or lawyer sends a referral to referrals@creativetherapyconsultants.ca or calls 1-888-880-3222. We contact the client within 1 business day of the referral, and the client gets their clinician's direct phone number and email. Sessions take place at home, in the community, at work, online or at our Castlegar office.
