Shayla earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia and her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta. During her time in the occupational therapy program, Shayla gained practical experience in a variety of settings, including rehabilitation, long-term care, community services, brain injury recovery, and mental health support. This diverse background has honed her ability to provide personalized and holistic care that meets the unique needs of each individual.
Originally from a small town in the Kootenays, Shayla is excited to bring her skills and passion for occupational therapy to rural communities in Northern areas. Dedicated to empowering individuals with the tools they need to thrive—whether at work, home, or play—Shayla is eager to make a positive impact and contribute to the well-being of those she serves.
