Community rehabilitation in Prince George and northern BC, from our office on 3rd Avenue.
The Prince George team includes occupational therapists and a kinesiologist, and covers the North as far as the Peace River District. We see clients at home, in the community, at work and online.
Our 3rd Avenue office is downtown, a short drive from University Hospital of Northern BC. Prince George sits on Lheidli T'enneh territory. We travel Highway 97 south to Quesnel and north to Mackenzie and the Peace, and Highway 16 west toward Vanderhoof, Fort St. James and Burns Lake and east to McBride and Valemount. The city is the region's hub for forestry, pulp mills, trucking, the railway and mining, and many clients do heavy physical work, which shapes how we plan return to work.
Clients are referred by WorkSafeBC, ICBC, Veterans Affairs Canada, long-term disability insurers, employers and lawyers. The goal is function and independence at home, in the community and, where possible, at work.
To arrange community rehabilitation in Prince George, the client's case manager, adjuster, disability insurer, employer or lawyer sends a referral to referrals@creativetherapyconsultants.ca or calls 1-888-880-3222. We contact the client within 1 business day of the referral, and the client gets their clinician's direct phone number and email. Sessions take place at home, in the community, at work, online or at our Prince George office.
